Dear Lisa, Hello!
It’s been ages since we have communicated. I hope my letter finds
you in excellent health. In your last letter, you asked for some tips
on personal hygiene. I’m going to share a few points with you. I hope that
this information will be beneficial. It is important to understand the
definition of personal hygiene. It simply means the cleanliness of your body,
from the tips of your hair, all the way down to your toes. In my letter I
will ADDRESS, four important ways to maintain personal hygiene.
First
and foremost, you should always PRIORITISE your face. This is because,
many viruses and bacteria can PERMEATE our bodies through the mouth,
eyes and nose. Do not touch your face unnecessarily with your fingers as this
allows germs to build up on your skin. As a result, you may end up with ACNE,
boils or contract a virus like Influenza. Therefore, remember that proper
facial care is always our first line of defence.
In
addition, INVEST in good body hygiene. This means you could spend a
little money to keep your body clean and fresh. For example, PURCHASE
deodorant and anti-bacterial soap to keep the body ODOUR AT BAY. Bad
smells are a sign that your feet or armpits are harbouring bacteria! Hence,
remember to UTILISE good quality products to clean your body.
Furthermore,
another VITAL step in ensuring good personal SANITATION is to
keep your hands UNCONTAMINATED. You must practise this by washing your
hands before eating or touching your face, and keeping your nails trimmed and
spotless. A lot of dirt can get LODGED under long fingernails. This
may turn into the perfect breeding ground for harmful microbes. Thus, keeping
our hands clean will go a long way in prevention of unwanted illnesses.
Finally,
I believe that you should pay attention to your hair. Shampoo your scalp
regularly to AVERT enemies like dandruff, lice or excess oil. Choose a
good shampoo suitable with your hair-type. If you are not sure, CONSULT
any hair stylist or hairdresser. In short, take proper precautions to stop a
hair scare!
To
summarise, you should bear in mind, the steps to great facial, body, hands
and hair care. As the saying goes, prevention is better than cure,
so do not wait for something bad to happen. Instead, make positive changes to
your lifestyle today! I hope this advice is helpful. Do reply and let me know
what you think. Till then, take care! Your
best friend, Emily |
