One of the most challenging parts of essay writing is fleshing out your points. Elaborating can be easy when you think of each sentence as answering a question. Yes. I'm talking about your WH-questions: 

WHAT, WHY , HOW, WHO, WHEN , WHERE. 

Each of these questions can be broken down into more angles. If you explore and answer them, you will have yourselves a paragraph in no time!
